Everyone agreed that was a pretty cool name...so we teens are officially the CREW. :)
We picked the shirt color (black)..now we just need to pick the letter colors for the shirt.

Praise the Painter not the paintbrush...

I was thinking about some of the great men of God I have had the privilage of hearing preach, and how people just brag about meeting them. How he is such a wonderful man of God.....he is the best preacher ever....etc. And I started to think. ( which can sometimes be dangerous..lol jk) Yes, that preacher may be on fire for God, and he may be letting God use him, but we shouldn't be giving all the praise to him. It's because of God that people are getting saved, and people are being convicted for their sins. It's just like this analogy....A painter picks up a paintbrush and paints a masterpiece. We don't praise the paintbrush for the work of art. Of course, we would praise the painter! The preacher is just like the paintbrush, yes, it was used to do a great work, but the Painter (God) actually did the work! Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with admiring a man of God, but to go on and on about a preachers greatness takes away from the artwork of the "PAINTER".

My Bible verse this week is 1Chronicles 29:11-13.

This is what David prayed:

11) Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the Heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
12) Both riches and honor come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
13) Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

This was just the beginning of his prayer! In these three verses David praised the Lord for His power and greatness. Often we just begin our prayers with...Lord, thank you for the day....and then we start praying about our problems, but David praised the Lord for everything. That's how we should start our prayers. Not just...Lord thanks for the day....but Lord thank-you for your power and might! Let's remember to thank Him for His power, His love, and His greatness the next time we pray!

Any suggestions??

I just got done rewriting my final draft for a book review on Silas Marner (a classic). And , just when I thought I was done with those things, the teacher says...."Pick another book for your 2nd book review in lesson 43." Ugh! So, I figure, if I'm gonna read a book and write 3 drafts on it, it might as well be a good book! So does anyone have a suggestion on a good book to read? I like action and suspense books, but I'll read pretty much anything.. k, thanks! :)

1st Annual Fall Festival

So this Saturday we're going to have a fall festival at our church. I am so excited! We're going to kick it off with a scavenger hunt at 4:00. It's going to be across town which is going to be so much fun! Then we get to play all the games...not sure what time they start. lol But I know there are going to be all kinds. Some of them are: Sack races, donut hang, basketball challenge, football toss, bobbin 4 apples, softball toss, and the bozo game, duck pond, and bean bag toss for the little ones. There's probably more I just forgot them..lol. I made all the posters for the festival so the games will all be labeled! haha I know it will be awesome, and I can't wait! :)

Greenebeans

So my cousins came down here from North Carolina and they left last Thursday. I miss them so much already. We got to take off of school last Tuesday and we went to the beach and we walked out on the dock at Pirate's Landing. It was really neat. They all got to hold the parrots and take pictures with all the pirates. Then we went to the beach and played in the water. Little Tabs loved it!! She kept crawling towards the water and clapping her hands. It was hilarious. We had so much fun. Especially me and Leah. She is such a funny girl.

Love you GreeneBeans!!!! :)

"The Last Blood"

"Verse 1:
When man sinned in the garden
That sin Jehovah could not condone
The blood shed of animals
Could not forever sin atone

Verse 2:
But the Son had compassion
He said Father I'll be your Lamb
So once again blood was shed
As the soldiers nailed His hands

Verse 3:
It's been three days since Heaven
Watched their Prince of Glory die
His followers are in mourning
For in the tomb their Savoiur lies

Verse 4:
But at the grave something is happening
As death screams I've lost my hold
Angels rise in anticipation
For the Son is coming home

Chorus:
And there He comes
And He's got the blood
That He shed on Calvary
And the Father says
Well done my Son
This is the last blood I'll ever need

How to give Godly Advice..... :)

So I recently helped out a friend of mine. She asked me for advice about something. And I felt very honored that she would come to me and ask for help. She told me that I always gave good Godly advice. I just base all my advice on the Bible. It never returns void. You can always trust anything the Bible says because all of It is true. All of the Bible was inspired by God. You ask, how do you know?? EASY!

2 Timothy 3:16-

ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction for instruction in righteousness.

This verse assures me that His Word is from Him and that I can base all my advice on His Word! Isn't that great?!?!
