Our Trip to NC

So, for the past two weeks Luke and Skyla Gwyn have been down here. I just met Skyla a week ago and she is so sweet and funny too! It was good to see them.

We are leaving for North Carolina Friday night. I can't wait! I just know that tonight I will not be able to sleep just thinking about it. I miss my family, my friends, and my old church. It will be good to see them all and of course we have to go see Bro. Tim or he is going to have a cow! lol I am going to take lots of pictures and post them on here hopefully! But, my home is here now (until I'm old enough to move! lol) and I will be coming back to Texas to my new friends, family, and church. I love you guys! Thanks for making me feel loved.

The Youth

I've been thinking about our church and how God has really blessed, and I was also thinking about the youth of our church. The time will come when the older people in our church will pass off the scene into glory land and all that will be left in the church is the youth. It's good to have youth groups when you go bowling and putt-putting, so that the youth will grow closer to each other but that alone will not help the youth grow closer to God. I think that we should start a youth meeting maybe on a Saturday night or something like that, when the youth group comes together and prays with each other and for each other. It will be just a time of us talking to our Heavenly Father. Maybe after that we could go bowling or putt-putting, but the youth meetings should not be all about having fun with friends it should be about serving God with friends and having fun while doing it. I don't know...this has just been on my heart lately.

My friend Chansley has been calling me and telling me that she just loves her youth group. I figured it was one of those that went on trips to fancy places, but no. She told me that her youth group comes together before each service and prays that the Lord will move. I asked her how many teens were in her group and she told me that they weren't all teens they had kids and young adults from ages 12 to 21. They started out with 3 and now they have 8. It's not many but she said it just blesses her heart. Everytime she calls me I get happy because I just know that she is going to tell me how the Lord has moved in her youth group.

I don't know what the Lord has planned for our younger generation, but I think that if we serve the Lord with all our hearts that more people will want what we have and join us. That has just been in my thoughts...lol :)

School!!

School is almost out and I am just so excited! I don't know why really because I always get bored during the summer, but I think it's because I need a little break from all the school work. I am pretty excited about this summer. I have a lot of things planned. I might get to go to camp with my best friend Anna. :) And, of course, I get to spend the night with my Gramma a lot more! lol (which is always a good thing) I am going to try to get in shape this summer so I won't look like a couch potato when I go back to school next year. lol So....as you can see....I am EXCITED about school getting out. No more waking up in the morning at 6:00 just remembering that you have homework (well, I don't do that anyways, but you get the picture :) I am free to sleep in. How sweet it will be...until I get bored! TTYL

TODAY

I don't what to write about, yet again! lol So today I got to see my Gramma at Olive Garden! It was soooo good. She came down here to Harlingen to give me some clothes that Yvette had given her to give me. There are some pretty blue jean skirts and colorful shirts. THANKS YVETTE! :D

*Sleepover*

OK. I know it's been a while ( here it comes) but I've been BUSY!!! lol Yesterday my friend from school came home with me and spent the night. We made homemade pizzas it was soo funny! She plastered pepperoni all over that pizza! But it was good. Then after that she tried the treadmill out on speed 10. It was hilarious! She almost flew off of that thing! SO we took turns trying to kill oursleves on the treadmill. lol after that we went to watch a movie in my room but she spilled my water bottle all over me and my bed so we didn't even finish the movie! :) We watched TV for a little bit then we went to bed because we were sooooo tired! We had planned to stay up until 2, but we only made it to 11:30! This morning we woke up about 9 and then took showers. After we got done we made pancakes for breakfast. She made this HUGE one that was so hard to flip. Anyways we had a fun time! :)

Today I am sitting here and thinking about friends. Before you make friends with a person or associate yourself with them, you should ask God if that person is someone you should be hanging out with. I have made some wrong choices in my life of who I have made my friends. And when those friendships are not based around God then they fall apart. so that's just been on my mind lately.

Well i haven't blogged in a really long time, but who has time to? (well Diana does lol) I dont have much to write about anyways. I guess I could tell yall about my friend Katherine. Our parents have been friends forever and we've been friends ever since we were born practically. I lost touch with her after the move down here in texas but I finally got back in touch after her brother Patrick and her cousins Rachel and Bethany were on facebook. I got to talk to her a couple of times because she used their facebook accounts and now finally she has her own. So we have been catching up on a lot of things....so it's good. Thats about it...ttyl

I hate to say this, but I am bored!!! I thought that spring break was going to be awesome. I like getting to sleep in, but as soon as we get out of bed we have to do all your chores and then when we're done we go outside and feed the dogs then come in and watch a little bit of TV. It's like a routine now. Oh well, anythings better than going to school! lol TTYL

One day Jesus will call my name. As the days go by I hope I dont stay the same. I want to get so close to him that there's no big change on the day that Jesus calls my name.
